If you are a Teen your parent will be requested to confirm and authorize any swaps, bids and selling transactions. If you are Junior your parent will be requested to confirm and authorize your registration.

Parents Guide

SupaSwap knew there was a need for younger people to have the ability to trade on the internet in a safe and secure environment. We think it's important that younger people are offered the chance to learn about good money management to assist them in the future.

Younger people value their independence very highly, however, because SupaSwap involves financial transactions, parents and guardians have the ability to supervise and control their child’s activities. This should in no way effect a child's ability to enjoy all that SupaSwap has to offer.

There are many auction sites on the internet, eBay is the largest, however, like the majority of auction websites, they are for adults only and can contain content which is unsuitable for children.

Secure

SupaSwap is unique and contains high levels of security. This means parents or guardians must register their children. We only require minimum information just the chidrens name, date of birth and email address. This information remains secure on our database and is not shared with any third party.

Misuse

We constantly review the contents of SupaSwap and make every effort to ensure that no inappropriate items are listed. However, should you become aware of any inappropriate items then you can report them to us immediately. SupaSwap takes appropriate trading and communication between traders very seriously.

Educational

SupaSwap is fun but also very educational as it helps teach children the value of money, good money management skills and how to swap and trade successfully with other children. Consider how a child will decide how much their item is worth before they place it for sale, swap or auction on SupaSwap. If the parent thinks back to when they were younger, how much did they understand about wheeling and dealing or money management? How important is it for a children to learn how to buy and pay for goods securely on the internet? Teaching children to save up for things before they buy is also a very important lesson which can be learnt using SupaSwap. These simple lessons are taught in a fun and practical way.

Parental Involvement

Parents or guardians will have the ability to monitor their child’s activities and set a full range of parental controls if they so wish. There is no chat room on SupaSwap and parents can view and moderate email messages that pass between their child and any other child during the process of buying, bidding, selling or swapping. Parents can set permissions which control the actions of buying, bidding, selling or swapping of any item, all the actions of the child are recorded and parents are kept up to date by email. Parents can also control the payment and receipt of all monies.

Only parents or guardians can send and receive transactions payments. The child's only ability on SupaSwap is to sell, buy and swap items. They can accept incoming offers and swaps but only if the parent sets this permission using the SupaSwap Parental Control option.

In Summary

SupaSwap gives children the chance to bid, swap, buy and sell games, gadgets, toys, books and many other items at more affordable prices but it will also help parents teach their children a huge lesson in money management while still being fun. It will enable children through the profits they make on their trades to save up for that something special that they want. This takes the burden away from the parent. It also helps the parent and child because when a child sells a secondhand items it frees up space, reduces clutter, and generates income for the child which can subsidise their pocket money.
